How About You?

People are always making rules for themselves and then finding looopholes. W ROTSLER

Always do what you say you are going to do.  It is the glue and fiber that binds successful relationships.  JEFFRY A. TIMMONS

How do you do life in relationship to committments, giving your word and following through?  An intent of doing the right thing keeps our actions in integrity with our words.

Develop your Instincts

Good instincts usually tell you what to do long before your head has figured it out.   MICHAEL BURKE

Conscious living, staying in the moment, and being in tune with that moment hones your instincts. When your life skills include living with intent, incorporating humor into your day, being an instrument of peace, and being self responsible your instincts are a wonderful tool to keep you on track.

The essential oil of Grounding can assist you in keeping on track and attracting others with like core values and life skills.

Our Stand for Truth

In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.  M. L. K ING, JR

Our silence speaks as loudly as our words.  When our intent is set on being cool and getting along in life do we have any core values that would prompt us to search out the truth of a matter?  Truth meaning, information that is based on facts and evidence not on emotion and belief.

When we choose humanism as a core value;  everyone is OK, there really are no facts, and evil doesn’t exist is there any reason to support, defend and advance a cause for truth?  Is there any reason to have integrity that involves honesty, forgiveness and truth?

It is important to examine the intent we set for each day.  It is important to know what we believe and why we believe it.  It is important to understand the power of words and the power of silence.  It is important to live consciously.

A wonderful essential

Creating Beauty

The best remedy for a short temper is a long walk  JACQUELINE SCHIFF

The world was created by words in the Judea-Christian philosophy.  Lives are built up, refurbished, and restored by words.?

Justified anger is a challenge to our tongue.  When we  are right we want to pound the point home.  Stop and think, what is the price you are willing to pay for being right??

The walk is a metaphorical walk.  Go to a place of restoration inside of you where you are able to see the best side of the situation, know that all involved are doing their very best and base your conclusion on that evidence.  It is always good to lean towards a decision based on ‘loving your neighbor/brother.”  You have the opportunity to change the environment with your attitude.  If your intent is ‘to be right’ you may lose that opportunity.

The essential oils of Forgiveness and Highest Potential can be a real support.

Being a Leader

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader  JOHN QUINCY ADAMS

Be a leader in your life for good.  Make sure what you say and how you live are in alignment and promote the well-being of others.

Our Sphere of Influence

Every private citizen has a public responsibility  MYRA J DANIELS

When you add to your core value the philosophy of  “I am my brother’s keeper” you have opened a door of blessing and opportunity that will add a dimension to your life you can’t imagine.  Will it all be good?  Maybe not.  Will you know you have done the right thing, yes.

All parents who have set strong boundaries for their children know the strength it takes to do the right thing.  Every person who has stood when ‘all others were doing it’ knows it isn’t always comfortable to do the right thing.  Your actions affect a far reaching sphere.

Priorities are your soul first, you next, family, others, and community.  Those are the public responsibilities we all share.  As a famous radio personality says, “Go Do the Right Thing.”

The essential oils that help would be Valor to keep you strong, Clarity to  keep you focused and Highest Potential to remind you that you are not alone.

Life Skills Core Values

True success is overcoming the fear of being unsuccessful. PAUL SWEENEY

Read this statement many times focusing on ‘fear…unsuccessful.’   What are our motivators to do well and how do we define success?  Is it material goods, vacations, helping family, being admired by others, having more than others, or creating something of far reaching influence?  When we create from fear can we truly have contentment with the results?  Is that why so many who have so much don’t seem to have a lot of joy in their lives?

I believe success comes from enjoying the journey and accepting the results as either a) a stepping stone to your goal or b) the perfect place for you right now.

The essential oils for support would be Acceptance, Into the Future and Present Time.

A Life Well Lived

I’d rather be a failure at something I enjoy than be a success at something I hate.  GEORGE BURNS

Let’s define failure as never having tried and ‘success at something’ as a job that gives us the life style we want.  If we say this statement as  “I’d rather have a life of joy than a life filled with physical stuff and dissatisfaction”  we then can become focused on creating what gives us joy to generate a comfortable life-style.

It comes back to core values, intent, and attitude.  When we believe our choice is our life’s path we will choose those things that promote abundance.

The essential oils of Abundance, Valor, Believe, and Joy will give us great support on our journey.
