On the Lighter Side 2

I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.  Anonymous has struck again.

I am self-employed and my main business, teaching piano is slow right now.  This gives me time to build my beloved oil business and increase its profitability.  There is an immediate need to have a better cash flow so I opened my mind and took a tax course.  I totally enjoyed the course, but the reality of doing the taxes was weird.

The charges are huge.  [Could that be why this tax office is getting no customers and I am not needed?] The people are anxious, argumentative, and whine that the refund is too small.  (EIC is a built in welfare check in the tax system.  If you qualify you can get money you never paid in.)

I have always done my own taxes so I had no idea how much people paid to have so little done. The interesting thing about this experience was I went in with an ‘open mind‘ instead of going with my ‘gut’ feeling.

When I called to inquire about the class it was $100 out of my pocket.  They assured me that getting 20 hours would be no problem if they hired me and that they would pay me at least $10/hour.  I opened my mind. When I went for my appointment they made me wait 35 minutes and it wasn’t because they were busy-the lady I had the appointment with walked by me on her way to make a call and have a cigarette. I opened my mind.

I found many errors in the on line course.  I was told how clever of me to find them-I opened my mind. When I went for the employment interview I was offered $8.25.-It took me a while to decide if I wanted to work for nothing. I opened my mind.

It has been many years since I was an office worker.  I once again have learned why I am self-employed.  I am using many oils to keep balanced in this experience.

My friends that through the years have shared their ‘work war’ stories with me were instrumental in me seeing the big picture.  My ‘gut’ tells me that a supervisor that prefers to work with an 18 year old instead of a seasoned work-place employee may have a few issues of her own!  No open mind here thank you.

I did get enough hours to reimburse myself for the out-of-pocket expense for the class. I won’t need to do this lesson again.

Why Should Friday Be Different?

Remember this – very little is needed to make a happy life.  Marcus Aurelius  Who he was:  Historians consider him a good Roman emperor from 161-180.  He was a philosopher as well.

One of my philosophies is Monday is just as wonderful as Friday.  This is my ‘very little’ that adds to the ‘happy cup’ of my life.  See you on Monday.

Dream Catcher and Highest Potential oils will keep me in the groove.

Gives Me Hope

“Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on, or by imbeciles who really mean it.”

The above quote was made by a man of many talents.  A man who was accomplished and respected and lived and fought during the Civil War era, 1835-1910.  His name, Samuel Clemens or as we know him Mark Twain.

What Am You Doing Right Now?

Living in awareness is a life skill that I am working on daily.  Feel your breath, feel your body posture, feel your eyes reading this page, feel the temperature of your environment, listen to the sounds in your environment and then do your gratitude meditation that you have these senses that color your world.

Highest Potential, Believe, Hope /Goal,  and Gratitude are oils that help us live a-live and consciously.

When It All Fits Together

Wow there is nothing like having it all come together and fit.  This is a feeling I want to hold onto.  It was at our improv performance  (see us on facebook: Las Vegas Improvisation Players) that the energies were aligned and we did great.   I was very pleased with my contributions.  It doesn’t get better than that.  For more details see my page:  LAUGHTER–A LIFE NECESSITY.

Some of the oils that will help keep us in this mind frame are Joy, Believe, Gratitude, Humility, Dream Catcher, and Live With Passion.

It is off to work we go and we are grateful.  Grateful for jobs, grateful for the ability to ‘go’ and especially grateful for the money that keeps our wheels turning.  You could of course be in the ‘true American’  group the retirees  and be grateful you have a hot mineral swimming pool to go and enjoy.

As you live in the state of gratefulness you can use the oil of Gratitude to expand the bliss in your heart.  Cheerio

Make it Happen

Last night I dreamed I ate a ten-pound marshmallow, and when I woke up the pillow was gone.- Tommy Cooper
Don’t panic I really didn’t eat it. I had just thrown it off the bed, where it knocked over the drink on my night stand, that spilled on and stained the $70 pillow and the new carpet. Wish I had ate it.
Life can be a collage of mishaps with no chuckles. Me-we have an Improv show this weekend and I will get an extra serving of chuckles. ?It is up to you to create your life collage so you get all the warm fuzzies you want.
With the oil of Dream Catcher you could create beyond your wildest imagination. Enjoy

An Unexpected Gift

Today I went through my ‘card bag’ and found myself laughing, laughing, laughing. As an improv player with the Las Vegas Improvisation Players troupe -check us out on Facebook; l know the value of laughter in my life.

I created this card bag because many of my loved ones would send me the perfect card and I wanted to have them handy to re-read them. Then I informed these people they no longer had to send me a card as I had all I needed. Whenever I need a laugh-I pullout the bag and begin to read. I guess this makes me ergo-friendly??

Patience Again

Once again my computer is showing me who is boss. Windows is always giving me updates (automatically) that throw up firewalls that block the computer from connecting to the internet.

The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.~Author Unknown

The lesson could be-If you aren’t really fond of worms and second hand cheese appeals to you-go for it.

The oil of Highest Potential could help you keep on your track of choice.
