It Is Your State of Mind

Many of my challenges in life have come as a direct result of my choices. I am fortunate that I had instilled in my DNA that you handle the consequences. The down side of that is I am not good in asking for support when truly there are those waiting and desiring to give it. No Whining Allowed–Support Requested. That is my new motto.

Gratitude

Today I only count my blessings. Yes, I am having to shuffle my schedule to fit it all in and I am grateful for the bounty. Yes it is hot here in the desert as I go from appointment to appointment. Oh I am so grateful for AC (air conditioning) no matter where I am, vehicle, office, or house. Thank you God for this bounty that allows me the freedom to fulfill your purpose.

The Beat Is Strong

Whether the glass is half full or half empty depends on where it began. Three Feet from Gold pg.13

I have never understood the analogy, ‘Is the glass 1/2 full or 1/2 empty?’ I prefer this analogy. It resinates with me. The book that this quote is taken from is a modern version of Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich. It was written with the support of the Napoleon Hill Foundation and is a very good read.

Humor For The Day

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Need a good laugh?  Go read the funny greeting cards at the store.

I don’t like keeping my house cool in the hot months so I have various activities I’ll do to get out and enjoy the AC someone else is paying for.  I walk the mall, (me who won’t pay mall prices) go to the library, and read the funny greeting cards.

What A Glorious Day

I am just back from an 8 day journey of gifts, learning, laughter, and growth.  I had some long time friends with me, some friends from overseas came over for the event, and I meant some new friends.

Now I must use Joy to give out the song of thanksgiving that’s in my heart, Clarity to refresh my awareness,  Live With Passion to maintain the journey, Highest Potential to cover the need, and Magnify Your Purpose to keep the knowing going.

Do the Right Thing

Many in our society are caring for their parents.  This is not an odious task it is just a part of the journey for many.  I live with my mom who will be 87 and requires no care.  It is just a comfort to her and her children that she has someone here.

My single friend on the other hand has interfering siblings as she assists her parent in making decisions that are necessary at this time in her life.

My friend moved to the town her parent is in so that she could help as needed.  The married siblings don’t live in the town and are stirring the pot.  The parent of course doesn’t want to make anyone mad so may not do what she wants but what her ‘other’ children think is best for her.

I know the Golden Rule is often misinterpreted.  We are to do as we would have others do to us means consider their wishes and carry out their wishes.  Fortunately for this parent she has one child that will ‘do the right thing’.

Change Change Change

It has been said that you can only depend on death and taxes.  You can also depend on change.

When we are rigid, unbending, and controlling change can cause physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual challenges.

When we acknowledge that life flows and we go with that flow we are better able to maintain our physical endurance, mental clarity, emotional balance, and spiritual stamina.

Valor is a great oil for mainting us on all levels through the bumps, squalls, and disasters we call life.

Live Life Well

Religion is defined as the worship and service to God.  Another definitions is the core beliefs you live daily. So many attach connotative meaning to the word religion and that is why I share this with you.

My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.
– The Dalai Lama

Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’
– Martin Luther King, Jr.

A life of service comes from an abundance of love and not an abundance of money.  We so often hold back because we can’t do for another all we would if we had the money.  Life has shown me that a phone call, a letter (yes snail mail) a gesture that says-I am thinking of you because I care, and constancy in the place of prayer are powerful support actions.

I use the oil of Clarity to see a need and the oil of Valor to do as Holy Spirit directs.

Good Stuff

When your dad is mad and asks you, “Do I look stupid?” don’t answer him.  Heather age 16

Never tell your mom her diet‘s not working.  Michael age 14
