“Among those whom I like or admire, I can find no common denominator, but among those whom I love, I can: all of them make me laugh.”

Keep the Vision Know the Goal

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you’ll find one at the end of your arm … As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands. One for helping yourself, the other for helping others. Audrey Hepburn

Month 8

We are in week 3 of month 8.  Swimming stopped at the beginning of the month so I have been walking 2-3 times a week.  I also lost a couple of clients which keeps me less active.

I am working on an eating/activity program I will stick with.  I haven’t gone back wards.  I am maintaining and that  is a great thing.  By the start of next month we’ll have a structure for greater health.

Oh My

What a day this has been and what a day it is going to be.  It is so easy to fume, fuss and dramatize.

Now lets create the peace, joy , and contentment we really want.  Enjoy your creation.

Going in Circles??

“People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within.”  Romana L. Anderson

One of my favorite adultisms (sayings to live by)..”I want to run away-but I have to take myself with me.”

An ancient philosopher wrote, “Godliness with contentment is great gain.”  Part of what contentment means is that acceptance, clarity of purpose, and eternal vision have been attained on a higher level.

Stop.  Breathe.  Give a line of thankfulness. Make a statement of purpose.  And discover you are no longer going in circles.

Voting Thoughts

“Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty.”  Thomas Jefferson

“The beauty of the second amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.”  Thomas Jefferson

“If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”  Samuel Adams

“Some regard private enterprise as if it were a predatory tiger to be shot. Others look upon it as a cow that they can milk. Only a handful see it for what it really is–the strong horse that pulls the whole cart.”  Sir Winston Churchill
