“Leave all the afternoon for exercise and recreation, which are as necessary as reading. I will rather say more necessary because health is worth more than learning.”  Thomas Jefferson      Of course he probably got up at 3a.m. to get everything done that had to be done and like another of our presidents went to bed with the early birds!

Pay attention: Radio waves travel at  186,000 miles per second.   Sound waves saunter at 700 miles per hour. That means a broadcast voice can be heard sooner 13,000 miles away than it can be heard at the back of the room in which it originated.  [Now that’s really cool.]

It is Said

That Egyptians slept on pillows made of stone.

That in Singapore, it is illegal to sell or own chewing gum.  This is true because a friend of mine works in Singapore.  Fortunately they don’t care for gum.

That in Kentucky, it is illegal to carry ice cream in your back pocket.  [Can you say  Nanny State?]

Remember you can carry stones in you back pocket, sleep on ice cream, but no Singapore chewing.

Remember to find humor in our gas prices, grocery prices, and the extravagant lives of our politicians.   A new day will dawn.
