Lazy Fear Disinterest

We trained hard . . . but it seemed that every time we were beginning to form up into teams, we would be reorganized. I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganizing, and a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while producing confusion, inefficiency, and demoralization. [Caius Petronius Arbiter, died 66 A.D.]

Are these  the reasons/excuses we use to keep from breaking out of the life we have created into the one we ”say” we want?  ‘Stinking thinking’ can paralyze and control.  We can think ourselves into ‘happy’.  This creates the reality of progress and eliminates confusion, inefficiency, and demoralization.

Love Love Love

Ain’t it grand?

Stand on each others shoulders and not on their toes.

I have a special butt… It has special curves, and it kinda has it’s own
attitude… I think the audience can feel that, and if I were to try to put
someone else’s butt in that place, the audience would feel cheated and
emotionally insulted. [Will Smith on doing underwear scenes] Tee Hee  Self-love?

What is Love

There is a description of Love/Charity from Paul that none of us can dispute.  It is a description that none of us can live up to.  It is what every person contemplating marriage should practice with their intended before having the ceremony.

The part that is so difficult for me is ‘…it is longsuffering and kind.’  [You want we to put up with their bad behavior and be kind to them too?]

This is the new version of the text:

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.     5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.   6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth   7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails.

The traditional text reads:

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails.

YIKES

Notice yesterday’s post and the spacing it doesn’t have.  No matter what ‘tricks’ I used I couldn’t fool the computer into cooperating.  It was so frustrating until I said, ‘OK this is what it is giving me so I will use it.’

A father once told his frustrated married daughter, ‘Get rid of your ideas of marriage.  You are married.  This is the way it is.  Work with it.’

Think a moment on how we do relationship.  Quite often we have an idea of what we want and we try every ‘trick’ to create that picture. The results are usually frustrating.  We are so relieved when the Aha moment comes and we commit to working with the reality of what we have.

I believe that all relationships come into focus when we accept the facts, live in the moment, and do/think those things that will bring the most peace and harmony into the situation.

The oils of Gratitude, White Angelica, Harmony and Present Time seem to support smooth relationships.

Ahhh Love

“True love is not so much a matter of romance as it is a matter of anxious concern for the well being of ones companion.   Gordon B. Hinckley

Go On and Fly

“It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for a bird to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.”   C.S. Lewis

Know Thyself
