Healing the Soul

One Reason To Buy A Painting

At an art gallery, a woman and her ten-year-old son were having a tough time choosing between one of my paintings and another artist’s work. They finally went with mine.

“I guess you decided you prefer an autumn scene to a floral,” I said.

“No,” said the boy. “Your painting’s wider, so it’ll cover three holes in our wall.”  Betty Tenney, Sterling Heights, Michigan

Married To The Job

I guess this is what happens after you’ve worked at the same place for a while. I was eating at a fast-food restaurant when an employee began his shift by walking into the kitchen area and calling out, “Honey, I’m home!” G. M., via e-mail

The Pun Contest

There was a man who entered a pun contest. He sent in ten different puns, in the hope that at least one of the puns would win. Unfortunately, no pun in ten did.

Final Part of the Journey

A dear soul who has had an excellent run is approaching the doorway to her new life.  As these wise older women leave our physical realm I want to give to younger women what they have given to me.

These women were my mentors, my benchmark on how to be a gracious godly women, and they have given me a rich heritage. Like my mother they were wonderful women.

Some gave me the awareness of ‘You can do it.” Those were the women that were accomplished in their own businesses and balanced it beautifully with God, husband and family.

Others taught me that “my grass” was green enough.  These women stayed in their marriages not because the marriage was wonderful but because they knew that that was their place and they filled it well.  The ones that were widows knew their new path was filled with possibilities and blessings.

All endured many hard experiences.  Those experiences drew them closer to their creator and Father. They showed me how to walk closer in life with my creator and his precious son.

My oils of Release as I let them go one by one, Joy as I see them entering their glorious new realm, Gratitude as I remember what is mine because of their strong examples, and Believe as I accept the responsibility of carrying on the legacy keep me focused on the great journey that we are taking.

Changing Up

Your oily blog will be coming on Tues/Thurs/Sat. Why…? Why Not!!!!

When you are involved with a Health company you sometimes hesitate to share. This blog will now be about not only oil but new FDA approved products from my Young Living Essential Oil Company. I am an independent distributor of this company.

A few nights ago I had just returned from the YLEO Convention. My friend who is 75 years old and 100 pounds overweight, had been diagnosed with arthritic back pain. The doctor told her all the pain in her body is radiating from that one spot in her back.

We put some of the new pain cream on her back that evening. The next morning she got up and took a one mile walk. She has been unable to walk for almost 11 months. That evening she still was moving with grace and ease.

I wept when she told me about this. It is so exciting to have a company working hand-in-hand with the needs of our population to give us relief. This is an FDA-approved pain relieving product. Click on the link below to order.

Why Me?

I recently received two beautiful gifts.  These gifts were given to me by people who see in me what I don’t see in myself.

It is so wonderful to have friends in my life that unconditionally accept me and at the same time think that I am an influence for good in their lives. The beautiful part is I think the same things of them.

The one gift reminded me how wonderful it is to pamper my feet.

The second gift showed me that there has been improvement in developing a more loving nature. I have a nature that needs daily  lessons in kindness, grace, and humility.

My oil of Gratitude enhances my appreciation of these gifts.

How do you acknowledge gifts?

Another Great Adventure

It is essential to keep the Momentum going so that the Compound Effect can take effect.

It is the daily doing of a skill that engages the Compound Effect.

It is daily saying NO to your addiction-coffee, TV, anger, etc.-that creates a new you.

It is daily saying yes to smiling, giving a compliment, or expressing gratitude that changes your heart.

It is daily quiet time with the power that created you to give you a vision of unlimited possibilities.

Let Them Go

I have a very dear friend that has chosen not to communicate for almost 7 months. Will this friend ever come back into my life? I hope so.

Am I curious about why we no longer share our thoughts on spiritual matters? Yes

Am I sad that we aren’t communicating? Yes

I won’t inquire as to what is happening as this friend reached out to me several years ago so I will let the relationship develop in a natural way. When someone leaves my life I know that our paths no longer are compatible.  It is a challenge to not take it personally but I have learned to live in Present Time. Our friendship is what it is and the future of it is unknown.  Prayer is our only link and that is far more powerful than e-mail.

I use Forgiveness, (don’t beat myself up)-Present Time, (don’t project)-Hope, (that all is well spiritually)-and Frankincense to get me to higher awareness of what really is important.

How do you deal with the feelings when a friend silently disappears from your life? What tools do you use to go forward with a smile and hope?

A few days after writing this my friend called.  I am so glad that we are communicating again. Joy & Gratitude oils increase my smile.

Accept and Cherish People

One of my very generous friends asked me to come visit her. I was there for 6 nights.  We have known each other for  38 years.  We have seen the good and the not so good sides of each other. Our lives are completely different.  She stayed in a job that gave her a good living and all the perks, never rewarded her with a promotion, and wore her ragged.  She loved what she did and the guys in the field made up for the poor management team she was shackled with.

I worked for the same company and left after 7 years to move to a metropolitan area with my two kids and start my own business, piano teaching. She has a very comfortable retirement now and I have every reason to make my current business a huge success.  She is a shopper and I am not.  She does no personal growth work and I am daily doing an exercise or three to be more than what I am now.  (What I am now is good but I want to be absolutely remarkable.) She has no concept of how her body works and has some physical conditions that life style changes could possibly take care of. I am very aware of what I need to do for my whole health and am good at doing it. (I am working towards exceptional on self-love that leads to self-care.)  Her life is nothing what I want and yet I love and appreciate her just as she is.

The spice of life is variety.  Surround yourself with people that are different from you, that achieve differently than you, and that are where you want to be. Who will that be for you?

The oils of Highest Potential and Clarity will keep me focused on inviting new people into my life.

1.   a substance that inhibits oxidation, especially one used to counteract the deterioration of stored food products.
2.   a substance such as vitamin C or E that removes potentially damaging oxidizing agents in a living organism.

Just the act of healthy living creates oxidation in our bodies.  Oxidation is a chemical reaction that can produce free radicals, leading to chain reactions that may damage cells. Antioxidants such as thiols or ascorbic acid (vitamin C) terminate these chain reactions.
