Being Gracious

We were enjoying a relaxed swim in an outdoor mineral springs hot pool.  A young adult was smoking in the pool.  When asked to put out the cigarette they were puzzled why smoking was not allowed.

Common courtesies are learned.  The irony of this experience was that this lady was supervising some special needs young adults and reminding them constantly about ‘respecting others personal space’.

Graciousness thinks ‘they are doing the best they can and how can I by example teach them to be gracious.  Judgment just writes them off as ________ [you fill in the blank].
