Essential Oils

Definition: Plants contain complex and powerful substances known as essential oils. These are aromatic liquids derived from shrubs, flowers, tress, roots, bushes, and seeds.  They defend the plant from insects, harsh environmental conditions, and disease.  Essential oils are vital for the plants growth and survival.  They protect the plant and determine its aroma.

Ancient Uses. Records show that EOs (essential oils) have been used as long ago as 4500 B.C.  They were used in everyday life  as perfumes, medicine, embalming agents, and air fresheners.

Modern Scientific Evidence: Current research shows that pure EOs can provide benefits to humans and animals.  They can  protect us from environmental conditions, disease, and provide aromatic soothing.
