It is uncomfortable when you are with friends that you like and admire and they decide to engage in behavior you won’t do. It isn’t fun to be made fun of, to be pushed aside, or to be ignored. It is worth the price you pay. It is worth the loneliness you may have to endure. It is a rewarding life in this life when we live our core values.

In college I lost all of my friends because they wanted to have drinking parties every Friday nite and that was all they wanted to do. I did my best to get us involved in other activities but they weren’t interested. It was a hard experience and I still remember how alone I felt. I have never regretted not going the drinking route at the young of an age.
